Your provider will review your full medication list, health history, and potential interactions and contraindications before determining whether treatment is appropriate. Some medications and conditions may make treatment unsuitable. Do not stop or change any prescribed medication without speaking to the prescriber.

What conditions does Kalm treat?

Kalm treats depression (including treatment-resistant depression), generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and chronic stress. Ketamine works through NMDA receptor modulation, making it effective for patients who haven't responded to traditional medications.

Where Kalm is available

Kalm services are available only in jurisdictions where its affiliated healthcare providers are appropriately licensed and where the service is permitted under applicable law. Availability varies by state and can change.

Kalm is currently available in 44 states and the District of Columbia. Kalm is not currently able to initiate services for patients located in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Minnesota, or Rhode Island. The eligibility screening reflects current availability.

The fastest way to find out whether care is available where you live is to complete the eligibility screening. If Kalm is not available in your state, you will be told during that process and you will not be charged.

How licensure works in telehealth

In the United States, a healthcare provider must generally be licensed in the state where the patient is located at the time of the visit, not the state where the provider is located. This is why availability differs from state to state, and why a provider who can treat you in one state may not be able to treat you in another.

Prescribing ketamine also involves federal and state controlled substance law. Ketamine is a Schedule III controlled substance. Some states apply additional requirements to prescribing controlled substances by telehealth, and those requirements can change.

If you move or travel

Tell your provider if you move to another state or will be in another state during treatment. Your provider needs to know where you are located at the time of each visit, and treatment may need to pause if you are in a state where your provider is not licensed.

Kalm is a technology and administrative platform. Clinical services are provided by affiliated licensed healthcare providers and the medical practices they work with, which are independently owned and operated. Kalm does not own, direct, or control the clinical judgment of the providers delivering care.
